Photos and stories from Dignity Lifts' Latest Business Trip
Photos from a business-ish trip I had a trade show in Iowa to show our toilet lifts to medical equipment retailers. That's a good reason to drive 9 hours so that was the plan. Then I realized that if I left on Thursday night instead of Sunday afternoon I could catch the Indycar races at Road America. So I added a little weekend trip in there. Here are some pictures of my adventure.
In Wisconsin I had a nice campsite at Road America, which is a beautiful race track. I brought my tent, a camp stove, and a folding bike my brother left me when he passed away. This has nothing to do with toilet lifts, but I thought it might seem interesting.
I packed a bunch of healthy food to eat, but Wisconsin's finest giant pretzels and cheese curds made me really happy!
That's not a rocket ship, that is an Indycar, which is my favorite thing to watch on TV. Indycar isn't too fancy, so even regular guys like me can get a pass to get close to the cars and drivers. My favorite driver is a Swedish dude named Felix Rosenqvist. He drives the car really fast. Dignity Lifts aren't really fast. They take 20 seconds to go up and down. Our customers usually aren't in a race.
Note: Dignity Lifts will never sponsor an Indycar. That takes lots of bucks. Dignity Lifts only has lots of butts.
After my camping trip I made it to Iowa where I set up our booth and put on my uniform. I spoke to a bunch of people that sell medical equipment and they all loved our lifts. No one mentioned if I smelled like a campfire, so I think the hotel shampoo works.
They had lots of social events. At one event they had a nacho cheese fountain! I didn't even know that was possible! They sure do know their cheese here.
Here is a tip for being professional at a business cookout. Cookouts can mean lots of beers, but I don't like to drink. I have a coozie that i put a soda can into. No one notices.
That's it for my adventure. I'm back in the office now.
