Dignity Lifts Joins The National Association for Home Care & Hospice

Dignity Lifts is proud to join trade and industry associations that improve the lives of our user. The National Association for Home Care & Hospice does exactly that.  We are pleased to meet people who share our goals. It is especially nice to meet people who devote their careers to helping others. Dignity Lifts hopes to meet many of these people. We look forward to meeting members face-to-face at the NAHC Home Care & Hospice Expo in October.

NAHC does more than just bring people together. They also publish studies that are related to our industry. According to one recent study,

The “vast majority of Americans (88%) want to stay in their own home or the home of a loved one in the event they need ongoing living assistance as they age,” according to the survey. “Receiving care at their own home is the preferred option for 76%, and 11% would prefer a friend or family member’s home. Just 10% would prefer a senior community, and 2% a nursing home… The desire to age in their own home is consistent across race and ethnicity, as well as urban, suburban, and rural environments.”

The top concern for poll respondents is losing their independence.  Maintaining independence and dignity is what Dignity Lifts is all about. We are happy to be new members.
