10 Fun Photos From The Occupational Therapists Convention

10 Fun Photos From The OT Convention
I no longer even try to hide my love for Occupational Therapists. Even my wife knows that I love me some OTs. Before I started this company I didn't really know much about Occupational Therapy. I'm an Engineer and although Engineers love to solve problems, we really aren't the type of people who go out asking people if they need help with difficult things. OTs do just that! They dive right in and help people who are struggling with their activities of daily living. OTs are everyday heroes. Here are 6 fun photos I took at the OT convention.

OTs Rushing in - When the "expo area" opened there was a huge crowd of OTs just waiting to see what new products we have to offer. These folks love their job!
Sit N Stand makes inflatable devices that help you up. This one helps you get of the floor if you have fallen. It's sort of like a bunch of air mattresses stacked upon each other. You roll the person onto it and then inflate.
OT Influencers in the booth
Apparently, I have a fan! She likes my newsletters and wanted to take a picture together. This sounded completely ridiculous to me, so I suggested that we sit on the toilet lifts and hold hands. I was shocked when she agreed! So fun!
Below: This is my friend Lindsay who is know in the OT community as Equip Me OT. She has been reviewing products for years and found an unmet need. She makes these lotion applicators that are bendable so you can reach your back easily. Lindsay is smart!

I even bought an OT sweatshirt
Maria from Toilet Talk
Emma invented a new kind of bra that uses magnets. It's great for people who struggle with their bra, which is a lot of people. Emma is helping a LOT of people. Liberare is her brand.
The Skill Builder Spoon has three patents on how it can help people that struggle with their tongue and utensil use.
This is Courtney The OT - She might be the top Occupational Therapist influencer. I'm also happy to call her my friend. If Courtney stops by the booth a bunch of people come over and talk to you. Some people just have magnetism. Courtney doesn't always drink wine while sitting on a toilet lift, but when she did I took a picture. Follow her here: https://www.instagram.com/courtney_the_ot/
The Ryzer Floor Lift
The other day I showed you a silicone cadaver, this one is also sorta silicone, but only silicone chips. This is an electronic cadaver table.
I stayed in this super narrow building! It had 6 AirBnB apartments in it. My apartment was very narrow. The kitchen was under the stairs and when you sat on the couch to watch TV you could almost adjust the volume with your toes. It was fine to stay in for four days though!
Cheesesteaks! When my friends asked what I was going to Philadelphia for I didn't bore them with tales of Occupational Therapy, I told them I was going to eat my weight in cheesesteaks. I didn't quite get there, but one day I had one for lunch and a different one for dinner. They are as fantastic as you can imagine. Some cities just do their one food better than anyone else.

That's it for now. If I see any other nifty contraptions I will be sure to share them.

Thanks for reading my newsletter,
If you know anyone that needs a lift...
